Welcome to the Governor's Institute for Arts Educators, 2008

On this page you will find links to many archival items created and collected during the summer institute held in Valley Forge, PA. Enjoy!

The Institute for General Participants

Educators from the fields of art, music, dance and theater gather each year to learn how to create units of study. The unit creation work comes directly out of presentations on topics such as: rich and compelling content, content and process indicators, reading and math standards and anchors, rubric creation, and adaptations and accommodations.

Follow the links below to see materials and videos for each of the presentations from this year's institute.

The Institute for Content Area Partners (CAPs) - leadership strand

CAPS are a group of participants selected to train in leadership and advanced technologies. This year's CAP's group discussed a wide variety of leadership topics, created podcasts, vodcasts and michinima on the topic of "Abraham Lincoln", as well as doing action planning for a regional art and technology mini conference.
