Come learn how the Arts Educator 2.0 project has navigated the purchase, ownership, and deployment of 60 iPads for inquiry-based arts education.

Purpose & Objectives

Many districts are purchasing iPads for use in the classroom with students with little or no plan for preparing teachers to effectively direct their implementation. This presentation will address issues of concern when working with teachers who will be charged with employing the technology in relevant and powerful ways with 21st century learners. This topic is relevant as the presenters will address how schools and districts can begin with providing teachers the time, support, and mechanisms for learning to use the iPad effectively on a personal level, prior to large scale student deployment.

Hear success stories from teachers who are effectively incorporating the tool into into their professional learning and teaching in the arts. Share your experiences with the iPad as a tool for your own development and growth as a technology leader.
